Often, we forget that artists are also human: Tiziano and Tintoretto were contemporaries, worked in the same city and yes, they hated each other. (Maybe). Is this the starting point to narrate the troubled path that led a young rebel painter, and a bit arrogant, to become immortal.
“Tintoretto. A rebel in Venice” is a graphic novel for young adults, written by Alberto Bonanni and illustrated by Gianmarco Veronesi, which traces the life of the Venetian artist and his alleged competition with Tiziano Vecellio. The first comic book produced by Sky Arte in collaboration with TIWI.
Four chapters in colour enriched by a section of editorial contents that dig the story with anecdotes and curiosities about the Venice of the sixteenth century. An editorial project that joins the initiatives of Sky Arte, including a docu-film titled by the same name, to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the birth of Tintoretto.
